Bennett & Knight's song writing partnership started during lockdown, co- writing the music and lyrics to accompany Ginger's debut play 'Songs From My Soul' , Which played to sell out audiences as part of the Canterbury Festival and at London's Pizza Express Live.

From ‘Undoing’ which dives into the dark legacy of slavery, to the poignant nostalgia of ‘Daisy Dance’ and a touching tribute to Lewisham's renowned ‘Mr Pink’, Ginger draws upon her experiences of growing up in 70‘s/80’s South-East London, exploring wider issues in a way that is always personal and emotionally honest. Frances brings a wealth of musical experiences to the Album; Jazz, soul, and samba play throughout. Knight’s sympathetic musical compositions frame Ginger’s lyrics perfectly bringing these musical stories to life.
